Moon Chaser for Android, essentially a copy of Tiny Wings on the iPhone, is a simplistic game with beautiful graphics. You control a ninja who makes his way over a hilly terrain. Tapping the side of the screen allows you to speed him up, while tapping the bottom allows you to increase gravity and bring him down faster when he is in the air. Controlling speed and gravity is of utmost importance here, since landing on upward sloes of hills decreases your speed dramatically. You will want to land on downward slopes, especially on those that have collectible coins. The background features a waning moon. When it disappears, your game ends. Completing a level waxes the moon a little, giving you a bit more breathing space. The levels switch seamlessly. This is an awesome game that you could play in spurts.

2. Abduction! 2 :
Speaking of simplicity, this is as simple as it gets. The game features a character jumping up using platforms, and you have to tilt the phone to direct its jumps. The aim is simply to get as high as possible. Abduction! 2 features a graphics overhaul when compared to the first. You have customizable characters, a larger world map and more detailed backgrounds, often with little weather effects. This game is pretty addictive, and you will find yourself spending hours playing it, trying to beat scores.

3. Game dev story :
Game Dev Story is essentially a tycoon game. You control a game development company within the game (Inception, anyone?). The biggest advantage Game Dev Story has over other tycoon games is the easy accessibility of its menus. Note to other game developers: no option should be more than a couple of taps away, and one shouldn’t need to play for days to figure out all the options that are available for gameplay. You are stuck to developing one game at a time, however, and the results of games aren’t always realistic. You could sell millions of copies with a silly concept. Aiding you during the development process are results of various researches. You can control parameters such as polish, cuteness, etc to develop a top-notch game within budget.

4. N.O.V.A. 2 HD :
Gameloft, one of the biggest mobile games developers in the world, has come up with an ace in N.O.V.A. 2. It’s the most expensive game on the list, but it also has some of the best graphics you will spot on a mobile game. It takes the best of N.O.V.A. and improves upon it. There’s a vast campaign and carer based online multiplayer gaming. The smarter AI is always planning to flank or out position you as you play. This is where you can use the special abilities provided by the game to gain an advantage. The controls are all easily accessible, so you don’t end up dying because you can’t find the ‘shoot’ button. This is a recommended buy for all First Person Shooter games’ fans.

5. The Impossible Game :
This is another simplistic game. We should warn you that it is just as frustrating as it is addictive. The graphics don’t have much to them – you control an orange block as it moves over dangerous terrain. The only dangers in the terrain, though, are triangular spikes and holes in the ground. You have to jump over triangles and use square blocks to jump over holes (jumping is achieved by touching the screen). If you die, you are back to the start. There are no checkpoints, except in the practice mode. There you can place flags anywhere you want, or remove them if you placed them incorrectly. We challenge you to finish this one without tearing your hair out first.
