The main feature of the Android 3.2.1 Honeycomb update that is being touted by ASUS is the brand new ‘Supernote’, which aims to dominate over all other notepad style Android applications.  The full list of features in the Android 3.2.1 Honeycomb update for the ASUS Transformer tablet are listed below:

Security enhancement

New Feature: Supernote

IME/Translation:

  • Added Farsi IME support
  • Czech IME improvement : support Qwerty & Qwertz
  • JP SKU fixed translation bug and Polaris office font
  • Added more language translation into ASUS App

APP Updates:

  • CN SKU 3rd party app bug fix
  • Polaris office & ASUS WebStorage update

Improvements:

  • Browser with Adobe Flash improvement; ex: YouTube
  • Browser force-close improvement
  • Improve Wi-Fi stability
  • Improve Chinese handwriting prediction : recognize character from each stroke

So there is definitely plenty to offer from this update, and if you do own one of these great ASUS Transformer tablets then the update is a must download.  The increase in browser and flash performance alone is a good enough reason to run the update, but you really should check out ‘Supernote’ as well.  To run the update on your Transformer manually just head to:

Settings > About Tablet > Check For Updates

That’s it, you are good to go.  Please let us know how you go with the update, and please do a backup on your ASUS Transformer tablet before you run the update!

Flash performance has been degraded since 3.2 and it is abyssmal. Load times seem impossibly slow for flash graphics and animaton. I have tested this in both the stock Honeycomb 3.2.1 browser and Skyfyre. My ASUS TF101 has the encryption security option turned on.
