Tech blog OneMobileRing got a hands-on experience with this new smartphone and it appears to possibly be a final version of RIM’s BlackBerry Curve 9630. If this is it, when will it replace the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9360? We are a little short on details since we don’t know for sure, if this is the final version.
What do we know? We know the BlackBerry Curve 9630 will offer a full QWERTY keyboard in addition to the new BlackBerry OS 7, along with most of the new BlackBerry line up that will be launched this year. It has a SIM card slot causing speculation that this could be a GSM device.
Photos of the device reveal a Tour-like chrome trim, an optical trackpad as well as the required micro-USM port for charging and your connectivity needs. An open battery door pic reveals a SIM card slot indicating a possibility that this may very well be the elusive Apollo.
With several new smartphones in the pipeline, it seems that Research In Motion has neglected to make any announcements about the future release of the BlackBerry Curve 9630. Will we be seeing this mid-range device in T-Mobile’s near future? We predict yes!
