HTC Evo 3D Rooted By Team Win But Root Details Not Yet Publicly Available

The incredibly sought after HTC Evo 3D just got a bit better, as if that were possible. Team Win has just announced that they have successfully rooted the device. The news comes after HTC said that they were diligently working on a way to unlock the boot loader to the HTC Evo 3D phone. The unlock brought to us by Team Win is available on both pre and post OTA Evo 3D smartphones.

With its glasses free 3D display and ability to capture 3D photos and videos, this is one of the more hyped phones of the year. But, it’s not just the 3D ability that makes it a prime pick for your next smartphone. Under the hood, it comes with a dual-core 1.2 Ghz processor, meaning it will load apps and process data almost as fast as a premium tablet computer. Along with the awesome technical specifications, the device also runs the latest version of the Android operating system.

A stock ROM is now available, but users who choose to install it are highly encouraged to create a backup to restore from in case something goes wrong. It shouldn’t take much longer for Team Win to get things fully working. As of right now, any ROM released by the group is meant for advanced users and developers of the software that will be used to root the device.

The device currently costs $200, if you sign a two year contract. Once users can flash their ROMs to unlock the device, it can be fully customized. Ever since the phone was released, many internet users have been going mad without the ability to root their phones. Soon that wait will be over.
