Huawei Vision Gingerbread Smartphone Shows Up At The FCC

Last week Huawei officially made public the Vision with its 3D user interface that will probably be introduced into certain markets next month. The handset showed up at the FCC as model 007HW. Some expect this version is intended for the European market, as it probably won’t show up in the U.S. The FCC in addition to evaluating Wi-Fi and Bluetooth emissions revealed that the only cellular range on which the Vision was evaluated was the GSM 1900 band. The smartphone could return sometime in the future with a more compatible radio.

A video promo for the Huawei Vision smartphone was leaked the same time as its FCC filing, focusing on the phone’s SPB Shell 3D interface. The phone runs Gingerbread on its single core 1GHz processor. The company claims the Vision to be “the most stylish smartphone yet.”

Huawei Vision Spec :

  • 3.7-inch TFT Capacitive Touch Screen
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM 8255 Processor
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 2GB ROM
  • Huawei’s 3D Carousel Interface
  • 5 Megapixels Camera
  • Li-Ion Standard Battery

The Vision has a 3.7-inch touchscreen with a sleek unibody frame and is Android Gingerbread ready. The two minute and 28 second video shows off the 3D interface and provides a nice 360-degree look at the new smartphone. The interface looks impressive but we do not know how it will look in actual use.

A while back when Huawei announced their upcoming smartphone, they said it would probably be released in September. We have not yet learned whether it will be introduced into the U.S. market. Also, there is no word on pricing at this point but it won’t be long before we have more complete
