As originally reported by RedmondPie, iPhone hacker Joshua Hill (p0sixninja) has commented recently that an iPad 2 jailbreak may be only weeks away. This is fantastic news for the countless iPad 2 owners eager to break free of Apple’s restraints.

The jailbreak uses a similar methods as previous models and all iOS 4.3 and up firmware versions will be supported.
As mentioned in an earlier GizmoDigit post, the iPhone 4S may not be too far around the corner. With the new device a new OS (iOS 5) is expected to be released, as well. No sooner than that, much of the jailbreaking community will be soon diverting it’s attention toward iOS 5 and it’s jailbreak-ability.
