Samsung have also released official pricing and a retail launch date for the new stars of their media player lineup, the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 and Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 . These two new Android powered media players land firmly in iPod Touch territory when they hit retails markets on the 16th of October, and at prices that will make Apple stand up and take notice. The Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 will be priced at $229, with the Galaxy Player 5.0 priced at $269. Both devices will be running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread with full Google services and Android Market support, will be powered by a single-core 1GHz CPU, and come with 8 GB of internal storage.
