From previous two months Skype is very much in news, first Microsoft’s acquisition of Skype, then two very bad downtimes of Skype in a span of just two weeks. But this time it’s news for iPad 2 lovers! According to the reports, Skype accidentally uploaded a video on a Youtube that featured the Skype app for iPad 2.
Apple iPad 2 had the front-facing camera, but unfortunately still there is no app for the iPad 2 users to utilize it. It has been expected for a while about the launch of Skype compatible version for iPad 2 to use the VOIP service.
Video uploaded on Youtube showing the app for iPad 2, which allows the video calling facility. Although Skype deleted the video shortly after they uploaded it mistakenly, but it was too late as some guy uploaded that video on its own channel. From the video it is quite clear that upcoming app will provide the facility of full-screen video calling, camera swapping during the video call and instant message pop-up appearance as a layer above the video call. Overall interface look very smooth and it will also provide video calling over 3G. Check out the video below, although audio is missing, but in my opinion video looks very much legit.

The Skype app for iPad 2 has long been delayed. Consumers have been waiting for this device for a long time. I hope Apple can release this as soon as possible.
