“The best camera is the one you have with you” is a favorite quite amongst photographers. With smartphones and tablets growing in popularity, most of us always have a camera in our possession. Cameras on these devices are also getting very good. More and more, photos shared on flickr and other such services are not being taken with point-and-shoot cameras, or SLRs, but the smart phones and tablets we carry with us all the time. This list will share the top 5 photography apps available for Android OS users.
1. PicSay Pro – Photo Editor ( Free, Pro Version:$4.30 ):
This award winning photo editing software is great for people who want to add quick effects to their photos. It has the ability to use pre-existing visual images such as hair styles, glasses, beards, emoticons and more to your images. You can also use PicSayPro to adjust contrast, brightness, and color settings.
2. Lightbox : (Free)
Using Lightbox, you can also apply effects to your photos much in the same way that PicSayPro can. But, on top of that users also have the ability to store their photos in the cloud for backup and secondary storage. This is especially handy if you want to make absolutely sure that you won’t lose any of your photos.
On top of these features, users also get the ability to view photos on existing photo sharing sites such as flickr, and to share photos on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.
3. Camera360 (Free):
This is one of the Android markets oldest and most reviewed alternative photo applications. The ‘killer feature’ of this application is the stabilization mode it provides which allows users to take less blurry photos. You’ll have the ability to apply filters to your pictures, as well as apply basic effects. On top of that, users can use the app to share their photos on social services, and you can even import existing pictures that you’ve already taken into the app. PicsIn Photo Studio also supports uploading to Dropbox, which is something that is rarely seen outside of the official Dropbox application.
5. Little Photo (Free):
This is a very easy to use photo application that let’s users take pictures using a variety of basic filters. In fact, if you want to take photos and apply filters to them, this is probably the application you want. The variety of effects it offers is great, and can make photos look fantastic.
