Verizon Introduces BlackBerry Bold 9930 For $249.99, Ready For August 25th Release Date

It feels like ages ago since we started to cover rumors about the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9930 from RIM. However, we’ve seen leaked pictures of the Bold 9930 with Verizon’s boot screen and more, but now we’ve finally got the date for release! August 15th the 9930 will be ready for Direct Fulfillment, and in-stores will be available as of August 25th.

During the BlackBerry World Event this year, RIM unveiled both the BlackBerry Bold 9900, and the CDMA version BlackBerry Bold 9930, which was back in May. Finally, we’re able to see some real launch dates for the phone, which we’ve been following for a long time!

If you’re interested in the phone, but haven’t caught up with RIM’s releases lately, we’ll give you a quick update on the phone’s specifications:

Expect a phone running on BlackBerry’s OS 7, sporting a 2.8-inch VGA display with 640×480 resolution. It’ll have a QWERTY keyboard said to be “ultra easy”, a 1.2GHz processor, which is quite fast! And it also contains an average amount of 768MB RAM, 8GB built-in storage, 5MP camera, 720p HD recording and a few more interesting features. It looks like one piece of great BlackBerry-work!
